La Prensa Hispana.- Kentucky Denim, a clothing manufacturer has set up shop in Thousand Palms, in the Coachella Valley Enterprise Zone. The Grand Opening was held this week. It opened with 31 employees and looks to expand the workforce to 400 within five years.
Liat Tala, head of Tala Enterprise has decided to switch the manufacturing facility from China to the U.S. The readjustments in the global economy has balanced the shipping costs from China with the labor costs making production in the United States with the assistance of Enterprise Zone tax incentives more attractive.
