Olive Crest Academy ready to Serve Community

Olive Crest is a public charter school which means it is FREE to the students. There are distinct advantages to attend a charter school including small classes and a concentration on the student with emphasize in a continued education. The school is chartered under the Coachella Valley Unified School District and falls in the purview of the Riverside County Office of education. With a strong emphasize on continued education whether it be college or trade school, students and parents are interviewed together to ascertain there is a motivation to succeed. Olive Crest will provide the skills necessary to achieve success and will work closely with College of the Desert to assist Juniors and Seniors from Olive Crest in attending the community college to get a head start on their college classes. Classes and text books are free to the students and available to all residents. The school will be starting with six teachers, one counselor, a secretary and a Director of Education as well as Principal Jaramillo. Parents are expected to participate in the students success and certain informational and school events are considered mandatory. This ensures a continued flow of information and the structuring of success as the students progress.
